In many scams, I’ll have a “Military man” scammer speak Nigerian (Yoruba) to me and then call me a scammer if I recognize it as Nigerian. This has happened with many scammers that I have scambaited – they would rather waste time and argue that they didn't lie, or that they are not black, or that they are not a scammer, etc., etc., than just giving up the scam when they should know that they have no chance. Like the Chinese, they do call this “saving face”. To me, it just shows how fragile their ego and mentality really is. I have had dozens of scammers speak Nigerian to me while posing as an American, only to call me a scammer when I laugh at them or tell them to go away.
