Cancer of The Ovia

I freaking hate these scams…It seems that the bulk of scams that I get anymore are either lottery scams or “I have a check for you” scams and I’m sick of them. I think the idiots like these better because it gives them a chance to ask for money in the second or third email in contrast to Next-of-Kin or Romance scams where you have to put in some time before you pop the question! If you are wondering, yes, I lost the first email to this scam as well as my response – but you all know the routine… My emails are in blue, his/hers are in black, my comments in red. Happy reading!

Attention: Thomas Payne,

I have acknowledge the receipt of your mail and noted its content accordingly. It is my pleasure to inform you that I got your mail and the content was well understood. I write to confirm to you that your Draft is with me here, which I have been waiting to hear from you as to direct me on how to send the Draft to you. I received the information that you sent and your Bank Draft is prepared and ready to be sent out, but i want to inform you what you need to know the three ways in which you can receive this your payment.

In its decision 17 of 24 March 2008, the Governing Council established basic principles for the distribution of compensation payments to successful claimants. This decision was made two months before the resolution of the first installment of claims before the Commission. As stated in the Secretary-General’s report of 2 May 2008 , it was anticipated that the value of approved awards would far exceed the resources available in the Compensation Fund at any given time. The Governing Council therefore devised a mechanism for the allocation of available funds to successful claimants.

However, your are required to reconfirm your mailing address to avoid mistake, and once I confirmed your mailing information I will be going to the courier company to deliver your draft. the needed information's is as detailed below :-

NAME:.....................................
AGE:.........................................
SEX:........................................
ADDRESS:...............................
EMAIL:....................................
PHONE:...................................
OCCUPATION:.........................
COMPANY:..............................
COUNTRY:...............................
SCANNED COPY OF ID:.........

Our agreement with the United Nations is to pay over 220 people and what they wanted was for this whole 220 people to come down here to Nigeria and receive their payments themselves, then my bank thought of a better and faster solution which is to send your check through courier service or have it deposited into the beneficiary's bank account, only if the beneficiary's are ready to take care of the little fees.

Have in mind that it is not the intention of the United Nation for you to pay any fees, the Zenith Bank Plc just thought it would be easier to send your payment off instead of you flying all the way to Africa to receive your payment, but if that is what you want fine, if not I will go to different courier service offices and contact with the Bank's Transfer Units department to know the Cost Of Transfer (C.O.T).

Note: As soon as I confirm your informations, I will disclosed a copy of your UN Fund Approval Certificate..

So let me know what you want. I also implore you to disclose your phone contact for flexible communication.

Silly-ass UN Document

Yes, I received the document. Very pretty, I might add. What do we need to do next?

Thomas

Attention: Thomas Payne,

I have acknowledge the receipt of your mail and noted its content. Like I informed you earlier, you have two options to redeem your draft payment.

You can have your Bank Draft mailed to you through a courier company and the requirements needed here is the courier fee to forward the Bank Draft to the courier company for delivery.

I have made the necessary findings from different courier companies here for the dispatch of your Bank Draft which worth US$500,000.00 each below is the cost of sending your Bank Draft through any of these express courier services from here to your country.

Here are my findings

UPS Mailing...........$420Dollars for Express delivery (VAT and Insurance Inclusive)

DHL Mailing.............$400Dollars for Express delivery (VAT and Insurance Inclusive)

FedEx Mailing.............$350 Dollars for Express delivery (VAT and Insurance Inclusive)

As regards transferring your compensation payments directly into your nominated account,
This is to inform you that you have to understand that if you want your funds transferred to the account anywhere in the world, this will attract the charges for Cost Of Transfer (C.O.T) which is 0.1% of the total sum you are to receive and that is $500. So it is advisable you make your choice so as to get the funds exactly this week.

Note: Enclosed in the attached is a copy of your UN Fund Approval Certificate

Fake Check

Your email states that attached is;

Note: Enclosed in the attached is a copy of your UN Fund Approval Certificate (whatever that is) – it wasn’t attached, just something that looked kind of like a check, only sillier.

I’m glad that FedEx is one of the delivery options – I work for FedEx and have an Account with them. I will use my account to receive the check that way I can use my employee discount.

Thanks,

Thomas

Attention: Thomas Payne,

I have acknowledge the receipt of your mail and noted its content. I can also understand that you have made the choice of mailing your bank draft through the FedEx Corurier Company.

I have also forwarded your bank draft to the courier company informing them on your account so that they can dispatch your parcel, but your bank draft was not accepted as they claim, this policy is not applicable in Africa.

I hope ypu contact them and rectify this problem as you claim you have an account with them

I’m not sure what this email means. What do you mean “my bank draft was not accepted as they claim”? What exactly does this mean?

Thomas

Attention: Thomas Payne,

Sequel to your mail. They actually claimed that your account does not exist in their database, so the only option you have to make the courier fees available.

I need you to call me with the number below

And how did they look up my account without my account number that I haven’t given them yet?

So you are telling me that FedEx, the company I work for, determined I do not have an account when I never even gave them my account number? Is this what you are telling me?

Thomas

Attention: Thomas Payne,

Sequel to your mail. I actually disclosed your full names requesting that they should look up your account which you claimed you have with them. Like I said they claimed they don't hae such an account with them, maybe you can be specific by disclosing the required information so that I can proceed.

All you have to do is to give me the package reference number and I can place it on my account.

Thanks,

Thomas

I made a boo-boo here – lol. I am man enough to admit when I make a mistake. Of course there will be no package reference number when the package hasn’t even made it to FedEx yet…

Attention: Thomas Payne,

Sequel to your mail.

How can I disclose the a reference Number when your parcel was not even accepted at the first place

I’m sorry – I was thinking it was already at the FedEx Office. I will speak to my boss here to find out how to bill my account for the package. I think you just need my Account Number, but I’ll ask to make sure.

Thomas

Attention: Thomas Payne,

Sequel to your mail.

I will henceforth await your updates

I spoke with my boss and he told me that you were a pathetic, rotten, degenerate, piece of shit. He wanted me to send you this;

What I know about 419 Scammers...

1) Their spelling and command of the English language is terrible, like yours.
2) They always want you to use Western Union or Moneygram - no respectable bank or business uses this except for you.
3) They are always stupid, smelly, savages from that cesspool of a continent Africa, like you are.
4) They pose as lawyers, bankers, and even Directors with the United Nations, like you.
5) They quote God and religion alot, even know they are going to Hell, like you are.
6) They claim to be getting back at the "white man" for injustices done to them, but the truth is that they will steal from anyone of any race, religion, creed, and color, like you would.
7) They often have sex with goats, monkeys, and their own parents, like you do.
8) They are the lowest form of life on the planet and have the intelligence of a 5-year old retarded child, like you do.
9) They strongly resemble gorillas but they smell even worse, like you do.
10) They are rooted in evil - everything bad in this world comes from Africa - AIDS, crime, war, disease, poverty, hunger, savages - all from Africa. True, we in the USA have our share of these problems too, but they all come from the savages that our forefathers unfortunately brought to this great nation.

I don’t expect to hear back from this dog turd but I don’t care – I am just sick of these type scams. I did my duty and kept him busy for about a week…
