| Harriet the Spy – another short scambait. I was hoping it wouldn't end so soon, I guess I got too sarcastic at the end about her name. She knew the jig was up (excuse the pun). I had such grand plans for this scambait – since she agreed to use my lawyer, I was going to have her fill out page after page of documents and then try charging her a fee. How are you today I hope all is well with you and your family? Let me use this opportunity to thank you very much for responding to my mail. The money was declared as gem of precious stones to avoid much demurrage from the finance Company. This money was actually meant for buying of new machineries and chemical for farms and establishment of new farms in Lesotho and Swaziland. You have to understand that this money we are talking about is still in the custody of a financial company in the Uk. We can only have access to the fund once it is been claimed by us. Meanwhile I have strongly been advised by our family financial adviser that it is very important for my family to map out 5% for any expenses that we might all incur for refund. What this means is that what ever money you spend in the course of this transaction will be refunded back to you from the 5% that will be mapped out for any expenses in regards to this transaction. Mind you that I will not be asking you to send me any money in respect to this transaction. What we need is someone that we stand as the next of kin of the fund. Since my son who is the next of kin can not be able to claim the fund since he is residing in the U.K. with a refugee status, it is impossible for him to open an account or for any organization to have any financial dealings with a refugee unless he or she cancels their refugee status,. Meanwhile, the finance Company has given us the permission to nominate another next of kin who can stand as the new beneficiary to claim the fund on my family behalf and that is the more reason we contacted you for your help in standing as the new beneficiary. However, I have spoken to a Banker friend of the family who also knows about this fund in the custody of the security company and also has agreed to assist and guide us on how to go about this transaction so that we do not go against the law of both countries including the IMF monetary polices. After reading your email, did your financial advisor tell you to have someone pose as the next-of-kin for you to receive these funds? To me, that seems silly, when all you really need is a Power of Attorney, to enable someone who is not of refugee status to be able to access this money. Doesn't this make more sense? It will also protect you from some unscrupulous individual deciding to steal all of your money. You are risking a lot, trying to find someone on the internet to help you and hoping that they just don't take the money and run. I hope your Financial Advisor didn't tell you to do this. You do realize that if you nominate someone next-of-kin and make them the beneficiary that it is their money to do with as they please and they don't have to share it with you or your son. If the banker advised you to do this, he is a moron. My advice would be to draw up a simple Power of Attorney and Partnership Agreement detailing the conditions you want set forth, that way no one can just run off with your money.

I can have my lawyer prepare a Power of Attorney and Partnership Agreement, but I need to know what conditions to set worth within the legal documents. I will have him make it iron-clad, so no one can run off with your money. I don't understand when you said “Please let us handle all communication with utmost confidentiality for the interest of all involve in this transaction."? What's this all about? It's not like we are stealing the money or its illegal or anything. How does this apply to me? I ‘m going to have to tell the lawyer the circumstances surrounding this matter if he is going to draw up the paperwork correctly. Who are you asking me to keep it confidential from? My family? I am so sorry I couldn't respond immediately, internet is quite a luxury here now due to the economic situation and government clamp downs on letting information out of this country. Because I was reading over your earlier emails, trying to decide how best to help you and I was going over all of the details, and I noticed that your first two emails are from Harriet Mutambara and all of the rest are from Monica Mutambara. Now, since you don’t know anyone who has the name Harriet, I have to assume that this is just a typo. You meant to type Monica but spelled out Harriet instead. I can see how that happens – sometimes when I try to write my name Thomas, I accidentally spell Christopher. A very common mistake. Is that your explanation of the name change? A typo?
