Bank Of Lies

This was a small part of a larger scambait that involved receiving money from an over-invoiced contract or some nonsense like that. The first part was uneventful, so I left it off this posting. I am somewhat ashamed of what I did in the end of this scambait, which I will not go into. I’ll let you to figure out what I did… My emails are in blue, his/hers are in black, my comments in red. Happy reading!

I called the bank and they told me they don’t have a branch on Gresham Street and that they never heard of you before. Why is that?

Greg Wilson

Total lie!

Mr. Mike Fairey, CBE.
Vice C.E.O/ Director Of International Operations,
Lloyds Bank Plc, London, United Kingdom.

who's lying - me or them?

The source of your confirmation is not true and whosoever that feeds you with such false information is not from Lloyds. The above address is the operational headquarters of LLOYDS TSB BANK. For your information, I have told what you have to do in order to get your fund to you and it is in line with the mutal agreement reached with the World bank and the IMF respectively. I will not engage myself in mere letter writing as I am a very busy man with lots of official responsibilities. Your quick compliance to the directive in providing the required fee of USD785 for the insurance and express delivery cost will be on your own interest.

Regards,

Mr. Mike Fairey, CBE.

The information I received was from the Official Lloyds Bank Website and the phone number was from the website also.

+44 1733 347 007
http://www.lloydstsb.com/

Are you telling me the person I talked to from their website was lying to me?

Greg

yes

(Couldn’t think of an actual argument to what I said, I guess…)

So you don't want me to believe the Representative from the Official Lloyds TSB website, whom I called and spoke with and furthermore looked at their offices listed on the website and there isn't one on Gresham Road. So, you are telling me that the Representative was lying and they "forgot" to list that office on the website? Or is the website fake? What should I believe? You? Someone who contacted via email from the web and in his emails cannot even spell common English words correctly though they are supposed to be an English bank? Is it normal practice for big English Banks to conduct business via Western Union? Is it normal procedure for bank reps to use @live.com for their business email addresses? My friends and I are laughing our asses off at you and how stupid you are. It is amazing how you will continue to lie all the way to the very end. I must admit, this scambait was very amusing, I thought the 419 scammer in my last one was stupid, but you win the prize! Do you wonder why the whole world hates you idiots? I'm sure you do. It was fun playing with you, have a better day!

Greg Wilson (or whoever I am...)

Two weeks later…

Here is a copy of my ID and the Western Union Transfer Slip. Thanks for all your help!

Greg

Attn: Greg Wilson
I am in receipt of your email but I did not see any western union information nor your ID as you stated in your email. Could kindly forward the western union payment information to me on the email and also scan the payment receipt and send it through email attachment and fax respectively for our record purpose as everything will be documented.

Make sure that you attached it with JPAG format because the one you claimed to attached could be accessed.
