Saint Nick

This bait may be slightly confusing because I was dealing with the security company and the devious employee of the security company, Nick. Nick made it clear that the security company couldn’t know that we were working together to steal this deceased man’s money. I purposely started copying the emails to both, just to see what he would say. After he warned me about it, I kept doing it just to piss him off. So if it appears that I repeated myself with emails below, it’s because my same email went to two people. My emails are in blue, his/hers are in black, my comments in red. Happy reading!

Attention!!

I have an urgent and very confidential business proposal for you. In the month of March, 2003, an Atlanta physician, Mr. George Brumley Jr lodged a package for safe keeping with my company. Unfortunately, Mr. George Brumley Jr died March, 2003 through a plane crash along with his family and since then his package has been unclaimed and nobody has come forward to claim this package and according to my company’s laid policy, at the expiration of 6 (six) years the package shall be opened, and the content declared before a notary public, and the content turned over to the ownership of the company. Under my company's policy of confidentiality, depositors items are not opened or tampered with, and my company has been covertly rendering services to a host of world and business leaders. Due to my my priviledged office, I secretly checked the package and discovered the content to contain about $10.5M.

Last week the board of director's concluded that if by the end of December none of his relative come forward to claim the package, it shall be reverted to the Ownership of the company after being declared before a notary public. As manager of protocol/exchange department of my company, my proposal is that I will like you to stand in as his next of kin to claim the package hence I will give you the needful information that shall be required of you by my company to back up your claim. I wish to point out that I want 30% of this money to be shared among the charity Organizations under your supervision, while the remaining 70% will be shared equally between us.

Login to http://www.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/africa/07/20/kenya.crash/index.html, to confirm the genuineness of the deceased death.

Get back to me for further details.

I remain yours sincerely,
Nicholas Airling

Why did you contact me and how did you get my email address?
Where is your company located?

James

Thank you for the reply email, I feel deeply honored. I got your email from your country's chamber of commerce and industry. My main reason of contacting you, is for us to work together in getting this fund out for our mutual benefit. My company is located in the UK. I will be greatly appreciate it if you can give me to green light. I wait to hear from you.
Regards,
Airling

What do you mean you got my address from my country’s Chamber of Commerce? My email is not listed on any Chamber List or Industry List.

Where did you get it from?

James

What I mean is that, I got your email from the internet search of the chmaber of commerce. You do not have to listed to be on the internet. I randomly picked your email, hoping I will get the response I needed from you. I eagerly wait to hear from you.

Airling

Okay, that’s more like it – you picked someone at random. I guess the Chamber of Commerce deal was just a lie to make it sound more professional. Anywho, I read your email, and what you said in it is not true. The company cannot keep the Deposit if it is unclaimed, it goes to the estate of the deceased to be disbursed in Probate. I don’t understand why you said the company will keep it if it is not claimed. Please explain this.

James

Why should I tell you something that's not true? What happens is that, my company operates a privacy policy with her clients. And every lodgment is confidential to the beneficiary only. My company has not been able to locate any next of kin. So how can you disburse the estate in probate? We have had a similar case like this some time past, that is why I do not want to miss this opportunity. I will be delighted to hear from you so we can move on.

Regards,
Airling

Well, you don’t seem to know a whole lot about law or even business in general. What do you think Probate is for, genius? Against my sharper instincts, I will help you procure this money though. What needs to be done?

James

Thanks for the response, and it's a great honor to work with you. Now what needs to be done is to present you as the next of kin to the deceased. I will secure some vital papers which will show you as the next of kin to the deceased putting in a claim to my company. I will then give you the necessary information of the deposit which are supposed to be known to the depositor and his or her close confidant. I will also guide you on the letter of repatriation that will be sent to my company for the transfer of ownership to you.

So what I will need from you now is your full name, age, address and occupation which I will use in securing the necessary papers. I will like you to send me your phone number so I can speak with you. If we start by say, the week immediately after the new years holiday, we can have the transaction completed within 12 days. As you deal with my company under my guidance, I will furnish you with any detail that will be needed.

I look forward to hearing from you promptly.

Happy New Year! And God bless you!!

Regards,
Airling

Occupation - yes

Thank you for the information, I have now started on the documentation and will be giving you an update. I will call you sometime tomorrow.

Regards,
Airling

Okay, thanks.

James

Hello Mr. Cagney,

I have made remacable progress on the vital documents that are required, and I should be having them completed not later than the end of this week. As soon as I have all documents completed in my hand, I will then send you copies of them with full explanation, and also guide you on how we have to proceed. I will write up the letter that you will send to my company and furnish you with every details. I will also speedy the process up from within. I am really pleased with the work done so far!!!

After the approval has been given to you, I plan to apply for my annual leave so I can fly down to your country for the disbursement of the funds. I plan to purchase a house in the US. With the real estate market down, it will be a fine time to get a better bargain.

I will call you up when the documents are complete and I have sent you the documents. Please acknowledge the emails so I know you are standing by.

Regards,
Airling

Yippee - I’ll be waiting.

James

Hello Mr. Cagney,

Thank God!!! I was finally able to get the required papers that will move the transaction forward. It was very difficult to get them last week, and I was really tensed up. I worked through an attorney that is specialized with inheritances, and I now have with me the document that changes ownership of the consignment to your name. It wasn't an easy thing either. I spent GBP 25,865 before I could get the documents out as the lawyer insisted being paid highly.

So I am attaching the change of ownership certificate and the deposit certificate in this email for your perusal. The next step is the application letter that you will send to my company. I will write up this application letter and send it to you with the email address of my company so you can send it to the admin department along with attachments of the documents I have sent you.

Once my company receives it, they will review and approve the claim, then get back to you for the repatriation process. I will be working on it from within as well. All you have to do is follow my guidelines. I am so delighted that we have come to this stage of the transaction. We should also begin making arrangements how we will get together for the disbursement.

I will now speak with you shortly on this.

Regards,
Airling

I received the documents – very, very pretty I might add.
Let me know what needs done now…

James

Hello Mr. Cagney,

For days the internet has been very bad and messages could not be sent out. It just got working this morning. Because of this delay, and not to set us back, I quickly used the attorney who has been handling the documents to present the application on your behalf. (Note, the attorney is not aware of any detail regarding this transaction).

After the approval by my company, you will be notified of your claims. The email you will be receiving messages from is : admin@sabadellsecurityservice.com. This is my company; SABADELL SECURITY SERVICES,LONDON-UK.

I am sure you will receive approval notification early next week. All is now set, we just have to be very attentive from here on. I have tried calling you several times since yesterday but your phone was always on fax. Let me hear from you please.

Thanks and have a wonderful weekend!

Regards,
Airling

Okay, I will wait until I hear from them.

James

Subject: Claims on behalf of late Mr. Brumley Jr.
Date: Mon, 25 Jan 2010 06:09:14 -0700
For the attn of: James Cagney

Sabadell Security Services has been trying for years to establish contact with a next of kin to one of our deceased client Mr. George Brumley J, but all efforts have proved useless so far. The management of Sabadell will be pleased to release the belongings of late George Brumley J, as we have no other reason to hold on to them having received your legal representative seeking a hand over of the belongings of late George Brumley J to you as the next of kin.

We have reviewed the sworn affidavit stating you as the next of kin along with the other papers and we are therefore compelled to go with your claim.

To claim the items deposited by your deceased relative, you are to give us your time and date of arrival here at our office to receive the items so an appointment can be scheduled for you. Not; the items are two trunk boxes in number.

On your arrival, please have the following with you

1) Your means of identification ( drivers license or an international passport).
2) Accrued demurrage charge on the items for the past 8 years totaling the sum of 28,455 British Pounds which will be an equivalent of US$45,904.61.

You can carry this amount in travelers check or any other cashable instrument, it is not advisable to carry much cash when traveling overseas.

We look forward to receiving your travel itinerary.

Sincerely,

Rebecca Speight

Could you give me your office address? I can’t seem to find anything about you on the internet.

James

For the attn of: James Cagney

Our address is at 26 Wilton road, London SW1V 1LW. It's immediately after the busy Willow Walk pub. You can't miss it when arriving from the airport by taxi. For very serious reasons, Sabadell Security is not advertised on the internet.

Remember to send us your arrival itinerary so as to enable us schedule your logistics.

I checked my calendar and arranged it with work. The best time I can come to London is the first week of March. Let me know if this is okay with you.

Your response is noted, though I will have to put the issue before management and give you an answer to that effect.

I am still waiting for an answer. Is everything okay?

James

This email is sent to both, the Security Company and Nicholas. The security company’s email bounces.

For the attn of: James Cagney

We are sorry for the late reply which was due to an upgrage on our internet system, and is not done yet. Please direct all emails through this email for the time being till normal traffic is restored.

Concerning your arrival time for the first week of March, management cannot wait for that time frame since you have come forward to claim the items. The items has deprived us of vital space for some time now, therefore the reluctance to wait anymore. Therefore the consignment has moved to our warehouse in Spain.

Management decision now is that the items will be shipped to you with the services of one of our fiduciary logistics agents under a diplomatic immunity. You will therefore be required to pay up the demurrage cost of US$45,904.61. and provide your address/copy of ID for receiving of the items. Below is the account details of our fiduciary logistics agent, they will be responsible for the delivery of your items to you. The demurrage cost of US$45,904.61 should be wired into this account.

James

For the attn of: James Cagney

What money are you talking about? What we moved to Spain was the items deposited by your late relative Mr. Brumely. These are two trunk boxes. The reason we moved them to Spain is that, we need space facility for some of our esteemed customers who are UK citizens. You must also know that your late relative's deposited items have been here for quite a number of years. Sabadell Security has been very accommodating I must say. It is proper for us to create room for other services. This is the reason you are being asked to claim the items on time.

Sincerely,

Rebecca Speight
Head admin
Tel/Fax: 44-871-218-0684

Well, because you moved it, I cannot be of any service to Nicholas Airling and as far as I know he cannot pick up the consignment either. You can contact him to let him know that I no longer can help with this and that it is now his responsibility to complete this transaction.

Thank you very much,

James

I made many boo-boos here in my conversations with the security company. I wasn’t supposed to tell them that it was cash in the boxes or my connection with Nicholas Airling. Oops, my bad…

Is there no word yet from my company? The management is supposed to have contacted you by now. I do not want to be asking too much questions about the matter so they do not wonder what my interest is. Please try very hard to concentrate on the transaction at hand. I find it hard to get you on phone. Or better still give me a call: +44 77 5401 6400. This business is like my life.
Regards,
Nic Airling

No, I haven’t heard anything from them.

James

Why don't you write instead and ask why you have not been reached. Let them know your lawyer by the name of David Jackson has been working on your behalf. Please do this quickly. Airling

I'm sorry – you misunderstood what I meant. I have spoken with them and told them I would give them my travel details when I get everything arranged. That was last week and I haven’t heard from them since then. I am still making arrangements.

James

Thank you for the update. I must have misunderstood your message. Am glad all is going well. It's ok, I will then wait for your update.
Thanks and God bless.
Regards,
Airling

I am still waiting for an answer. Is everything okay?

James

I copy this to both emails – Airling and Sabadell Security Company and I guess this is a real problem from good ol’ Nic.

James,

I wonder why it is taking Mrs. Speight so long to get back to you. Are you sure she has not gotten back to you? And please whenever you are replying back to her, do not copy me just like you did in the last mail. Make it a point to send me a seprate email. You should not make it known there is a contact between you and me. Keep me posted.

Thanks,
Airling

I have talked to them, but they could not accommodate my travel arrangements and now they say they moved the money to Spain for some stupid reason. There is something wrong with all this – first, they get their email shut down and now are using a free email service. Isn’t that stupid? A security company gets there email shut down??? Not very secure…

I think that maybe internet scammers have hijacked this information and now are emailing from the free email service because no legitimate business would ever use free internet email to conduct business.

What is your opinion?

James

Got your email. I will try and check the reason why the money was moved to Spain and get back to you. That's way too far from me. The security company's email is not shot down. There is nothing wrong. They are only carrying out some maintenance work which could not let emails flow out. If you are receiving emails from a free email, I think Mrs. Speight is just using that for a very short while. As a matter of fact, the security company's email started working today. So do not be worried, internet scammers have not highjacked the information.

I will get back to you. I am just burning to get this money out of the company.

Airling

For the attn of: James Cagney

You seem to be confused I suppose. What has Nicholas Airling to do with this. Aieling is a staff of this company. He has no right to pick any item. You were the one who came forward to claim the belongings if late Mr. Brumely, which are shown in the documents you presented for the claim.

Sabadell security will be pleased to turn over the unclaimed items to the UK statutory courts. You the relative is the one who loses.

Now the only thing I can do for you is have the consignment returned here so you can come and pick them up. You have to get back to me quickly so I know what to do.

Sincerely,

Rebecca Speight
Head admin

As I said before, if it is returned to England, then I can come to pick it up the first week of March. If that is too late for whatever reason, then you can turn it over to the courts and I will deal with them. I just love how you jet this money around the globe on a whim. Very nice…

Thank you,

James

For the attn of: James Cagney

A return of your consignment has been instituted this afternoon. It is scheduled to be here by Saturday morning. You just have to be here first week of March!

I also wish to bring to your notice that if the consignments are turned over to the court, it will give you much problem as you will have to pay more than the specified amount. And the court will not entertain any negligence. As soon as you have your flights booked, send in your flight schedule, while at the same time you should not forget the demurrage charge.

Sincerely,

Rebecca Speight

I will look into flight details to be there on March 5th which is a Friday.

I am still looking into flights. What are your office hours on Friday, March 5th? I will most likely fly out on Thursday after work, so I may not arrive until early Friday morning.

James

Usually it's 5.30 pm Fridays closing time. Though once you are in our office a few minutes before closing time, we can deal with you till your transaction is settled.

That’s fine. It should be well before that. I just wanted to get situated and get some sleep at the Hotel before we meet. Should we set a time to meet at your office?

James

For the attn of: James Cagney

Once you are settled at the hotel, I can arrange for a staff car to come pick you up at the hotel. We even arrange airport pick ups. Before your arrrival one of the operation managers will call you and finalize these details. Please provide your cel phone for easy communication.

It is not necessary to pick me up at the airport or my Hotel. I will just meet at your office. I don’t have a cell phone, but I will give you the Hotel’s phone number and room once I am checked in. Thanks for all your help.

James

Hello;

I just finalized my travel details. I will be arriving in London on Friday the 5th at 7:30am at Heathrow Airport. We have a room at the Park Lane Hotel in Downtown London by Piccadilly Circus. Once we check into our hotel and get situated, we’ll arrange to come to your offices.

Thanks,

James

Copied to both… Back to my buddy Nick!

I am sorry – I did misunderstand. I did not realize that you worked for this security company – I thought you were a lawyer. I made the mistake of mentioning your name to Mrs. Speight – I hope I didn’t ruin anything. They told me that they are moving the money back to England so I can pick it up. I just love how your company just flies money and boxes around Europe on a whim…Anywho, I told them I could pick it up the first week of March, as I originally said weeks ago, so if this is okay with them, then I will start making my travel arrangements.

Sorry, if I ruined anything.

James

Your mentioning my name has really given me problems. Though they had no idea I was behind you. The problem was that management felt I was communicating with you without proper protocol and handling duties that is not my responsibility. You know, the documents I presented on your behalf through an attorney made them not to susspect me in anyway. I was questioned rigorously. Please do not ever make the mistake of copying me in any emails, and do not mention my name. First week of March wil be fine to round up the transaction. Once it is done, then it is over. When you come over, please always follow my prior advice! Do not forget this. Right now everything is ok.
Regards,
Airling

Thanks for the reply – as I said, sorry if this caused you any difficulty. I started looking into flights to England and I will confirm my details with you when I arrange everything. I took the following week off work so I will be able to enjoy my trip to England as a vacation as well. I have always wanted to go there. I will try to fly out on Thursday the 4th so we can take care of this business on Friday, and then I will not have to fly back to the states until the 13th of March.

Thanks, and I’ll talk to you later.

James

Hi!

Just wanted to check with you and find out if you have concluded with your flight booking. Hope to hear from you. Airling

Yes, we booked our flight and Hotel. We will be arriving at Heathrow on Friday morning, March 5th. We signed a package deal that comes with a Limo from the airport to our Hotel. We are staying at the Park Lane Hotel in downtown London near Piccadilly Circus.

Thanks,
James

It's very nice that you are finally booked for Friday. I will be giving you some updates by Monday. You made a mistake of copying me when you email the admin dept. Please try as much not to forget this.

Thanks
Airling

What time on Friday the 5th did you want to schedule an appointment at your offices? You never returned my last email.

James

Copied to both email address just to piss him off!

Hello;

Copied to both…

Did I do that again? I am very sorry.

James

Your mistakes of mentioning my name and copying me in the emails you send has made the management to ask too many questions. I was questioned rigorously. It is widely believed I have something to do with you. Now this is what I want us to do. When you arrive on Friday, I do not want you to come to our company in person. I have contacted the attorney who did all the papers to seek to represent you, and on your behalf collect the consignment and deliver it to you. He is not to be made aware of the content of the consignment. Please do not forget this vital point. I have already applied for my annual leave/vacation, but because of this issue management is about postponing my vacation.

Right now, it's very vital you do not appear in person. If you do not appear in person, it will not be possible for the questions to be asked. With the attorney acting in between you and the office, these questions will be avoided. If you appear in person, the questions will lead to management knowing the content of the consignment is money. Because of the most recent policy of my company avoiding cash keeping, it will lead to regulatory authorities coming in on this issue. This consignment being in keeping for a long time is the only reason the confidentiality is being enforced.

Once you arrive on Friday, the attorney will come to your hotel and meet with you. I have briefed him on what to do since Friday morning and he has instituted dialogue with my company on the consignment handling. Do not even email my company till all is finished. Only pass through the attorney. When all is finished, I will then meet you at your hotel. Please follow these guidelines and instructions I have given here. I look forward to meeting with you.

Regards,
Airling

This is his way of not permitting to show up at his non-existent offices. He wants to conclude this deal in my hotel room (and possibly robbing me…).

Give me the lawyer’s name and business address and I will meet him in his office when I arrive and get settled in.

Thank you,

James

Just do as I tell you. Wait for him to call you or email you. Once you get his email respond back to him. You have made too many mistakes. Let me know as you are about to leave for London.

Regards,
Airling

Are you kidding me? How dare you talk to me like that, you fucking asshole. I am not some dog that you can talk to like that. I expect an apology or I will call off this whole trip.

James

I expected to see him profusely apologizing to me, but there were no more words from him. I sent this last email one day before I was supposed to leave for London, and he never got back with me. Most likely, he couldn’t figure out how to arrange the London meeting without me insisting on meeting at some non-existent lawyer offices…

He was trying to push meeting in my Hotel room to rob me or kill me or at the least to collect my money for whatever silly fees they made up. Meeting in the Hotel room is better for them because to witnesses, no need for an address to verify, etc. Of course, this moron missed that I told him I was coming with a bunch of people – that would have screwed up his plans…
